Funded by the CNR Research Network “Extreme Light Infrastructure” ELI-Italy
A host laboratory of the following scientific initiatives:
EuPRAXIA: COMPACT EUROPEAN PLASMA ACCELERATOR WITH SUPERIOR BEAM QUALITY: a H2020 design study research infrastructure
L3IA: A LINE FOR LASER LIGHT ION ACCELERATION: a INFN CSN5 Project and a partner of the experimental area development.
PRELUDE: PRECLINICAL TOOL FOR ADVANCED TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH WITH ULTRASHORT AND ULTRAINTENSE X-RAY PULSES
The PW upgrade of the ILIL installation is designed to deliver ultra high peak power laser pulses in a dedicated interaction area for the study of relativistic laser-plasma interactions. Applications include laser-plasma acceleration of particles, ions and electrons, for the generation of secondary radiation sources, medical imaging and material sciences.
